Aboriginal people have lived around Uluru for thousands of years and this tour introduces you to the stories and language of their ancestors. Aboriginal guides explain their culture and law and demonstrate the bush skills needed to survive. See ancient rock art and listen to the Python Dreaming legend.
Board the coach before sunrise and travel into the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and watch as the days first light creeps over the desert floor and strikes Uluru (Ayers Rock), giving a brilliant display of light, shade and color. Call into the Cultural Centre to learn of the culture and law of the Anangu people, the park's current custodians. A tasty breakfast at the Cultural Centre is also included.
After breakfast, hear the legends of Kuniya Tjukurpa (Python Dreaming) and join Aboriginal guides and a language interpreter for the famous Liru Walk, as you retrace the path of mythological ancestors and hear stories told by the Aborigines. See a bush skills demonstration, including making the kiti (glue) used to construct weapons, how to light a fire without matches and tool carving using sharpened stones.
