The Story of Berlin is a multimedia exhibition that lets you experience the German capital's development, from its trading center status in the Middle Ages to the Fall of The Berlin Wall. The exhibition also includes a nuclear bunker from the Cold War situated underneath Kurfürstendamm.
The Story of Berlin is a very unusual exhibition about the Capital's history where you experience the city's moving history with all your senses. You will enter different historical worlds and go through the respective atmosphere of the time, from the city's foundation to the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Using modern exhibition features together with original models and lavishly reconstructed historic facsimiles, visitors are able to experience every phase of the capital's development in over 20 theme-rooms. Displayed in multimedia format, in English and German, experience Berlin's long and often disturbing history.
An additional element of the exhibition is the fully functional nuclear bomb shelter situated right underneath the building. Thousands of beds give you an authentic atmosphere of a menacing atomic strike in a gloomy light.
