 Rio de Janeiro comes alive every February when it's time for Carnivale! Don't worry if you're not in town at the right time however, because here is your opportunity to see the excitement and color of this summer festival year round! Watch and even join in with the dancers from various Samba Schools as they get ready for this electrifying celebration.
Carnivale time is only 4 days in February. If you don't have time to visit Rio de Janeiro at this time of year, don't worry - you can feel just like you're in a Carnivale Parade by joining this fun and lively tour.
You will be picked up at your hotel / cruise port and taken to watch a Samba School Parade. But why sit on the sidelines? You are invited to get up and join in the festivities as you dance with them and share in the spirit of Carnivale.
This truly is the people's festival, with everyone welcome to participate in the fun. Dress up in the real costumes of samba and be swept away by the dazzle and excitement of this night while you dance along to the pounding beat of the bateria percussion section.
The parade takes place in a large area at Central Square, with two massive tents, one for shows, and the other for exhibitions. Other facilities inlcude snack bars, bathroom facilities and parking.
Drinks (soft-drink, beer or caipirinha, a Brazilian drink) and a cocktail are included.
A fire works show will end this unique event.
