A visit to York Minster, famous for its wealth of stained glass is a must. Walk down Kirkgate, a street of Victorian shops and visit the King William pub. If there's time you could visit Fairfax House, the Merchant Adventurers Hall, York Castle Museum or York Art Gallery. before catching the train back to London.
