A day trip to Ireland's "sunny south east" region of Counties Wexford, Waterford and Kilkenny. This rail tour includes a flavor of Wexford, guided tour of the Waterford Crystal Factory and the famine ship Dunbrody, as well as the historic city of Kilkenny. All admission fees, transfers and tours included.
This tour is seasonal and operates from March to October only.
Depart from Dublin Connolly Station on the train to Wexford (with snacks available).
Head due south along the spectacular East Coast through the Wicklow Mountains to the Viking town of Wexford. Here you will join a coach for the short journey to New Ross, and a visit to the famine ship Dunbrody close to the ancestral home of John F. Kennedy.
Continue to Waterford Crystal and take a guided tour of the factory. There is plenty of time for shopping and lunch. The marble city of Kilkenny is your next stop where there is also ample time to explore. From here return by train (snacks available) to Heuston Station at 9:15pm.
Please note the Dublin departure and arrival train stations are different, however they are connected by the "Luas" tramlink and are approximately 15 minutes apart.
