A full day rail tour to Ireland's rugged mid-western coast, through Limerick on the mighty River Shannon, and on to the imposing Bunratty Castle with its lovely folk park. Admire the stunning Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and Galway Bay. At Limerick take a short city tour which includes the setting for the book and movie "Angela's Ashes".
Depart from Dublin Heuston Station on the InterCity train to Limerick (breakfast service available). Upon arrival, join a coach at Limerick and enjoy a short tour of the treaty city, the setting for "Angela's Ashes".
The tour then heads north to Bunratty Castle and Folk Village, then to the Doolin Pub for a lunch stop and on to the majestic Cliffs Of Moher on the wild Atlantic Coast.
Enter the unique lunar landscape of the Burren, rounding Black Head before heading along the shores of Galway Bay to Galway "the city of the tribes" where you will join the Dublin bound train (dinner service available) arriving in Heuston at 8:50pm.
Please note, on certain days (usually in low season) this tour will operate via Galway instead of Limerick. The route will include the Ailwee Caves (admission not included) instead of Bunratty Castle.
