Schonbrunn has many faces - each and every one being unique. This package gives you the opportunity of living the large variety of experiences the World Heritage site has in store for you.
Start with a visit to Vienna zoo located at Schonbrunn. While being the oldest zoo in the world, it is a state-of-the-art facility that thousands of species call home - all of them living in their natural habitat. The most famous residents are the two Giant Panda's who arrived in March 2003.
A delicious three-course dinner awaits you at "Tiroler Hof", a typical Tyrolean farm rebuilt not far from Schonbrunn's landmark Gloriette. The so-called "Tiroler Hof" ("Tyrolean Farm") is located in the rear part of the zoo, just above the wolf enclosure, easily accessible by foot. After dinner, a taxi will pick you up at "Tiroler Hof" and take you to the concert.
The concert takes place at a location that played an important role throughout Mozart's career: the elaborately restored Schonbrunn Palace Orangery, located in close proximity to Schonbrunn Palace. The Orangery was frequently used as the perfect location for sumptuous festivities back in the times of the royalty
In the first part, you will listen to some of the most marvelous overtures, arias and duets from the operas of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. "Le Nozze di Figaro", "Die Zauberflote" and "Don Giovanni" to name a few.
The most popular operetta arias, waltzes and polkas of the "Walzerkoenig" Johann Strauss - from "Die Fledermaus" and "Der Zigeunerbaron" to "Donauwalzer" and the famous "Radetzkymarsch" - comprise the second part.
The orchestra is accompanied by two opera singers, a soprano and a baritone, as well as two ballet dancers in authentic costumes.
