After a beautiful eighty minute train ride we reach the village of Pernitz, 37 miles (60 kilometers) southwest of Vienna.
In the 19th century the Steinwand Gorge, the Turkhole and the Mira Waterfalls started to become a favorite destination for hikers and other visitors.
During a varied day of hiking, you will discover the area and enjoy beautiful views of the nearby Schneeberg - with an altitude of 6,811 feet (2,076 meters). This makes it the highest peak in the province of Lower Austria.
There is an opportunity for a lunch break (not included in tour price).
Ascend and descend: 1,968 feet (600 meters) each way.
