This tour is seasonal and operates from March to November only.
After visiting the medieval frontier town of Hainburg you will hike up the Hundsheimerberge.
This mountain range is under the influence of the pannonic (meaning Hungarian) climate and is a protected nature reserve because of its special fauna and flora.
The hike offers beautiful views into Slovakia and over the Danube National Park. There is an opportunity for a lunch break (not included in tour price).
At the end of the walk you will visit the beautiful historic town of Hainburg, before ending the tour in one of it's charming inns.
Ascend and descend: 1,968 feet (600 meters) each way.
